The Calgary Ethiopian Community Association envisions the presence of a vibrant and active Ethiopian Community in the City of Calgary and its surroundings. Some of its visions include the following:

 

  • Observe that the community is visible, productive and supportive of the missions and visions of the City of Calgary.

  • Watch that members are actively involved in the economic activities and development programs of the city.

  • Witness that community members lead better lives with mutual respects.

  • Celebrate that the youth and children born from Ethiopians living in Calgary be educated, responsible, law-abiding and respectable members of the city.

የካልጋሪ የኢትዮጵያ ማኅበረሰብ ማህበር በካልገሪ ከተማ እና በአካባቢው ንቁ የኢትዮጵያ ማህበረሰብ እንዲኖር ይሰራል። አንዳንዶቹ የማህበሩ ራእዮች  የሚከተሉት ናቸው።

 

  • የኢትዮጵያ ማህበረሰብ የከተማዋን ተልዕኮ እና ራዕይ በመደገፍ፣ በከተማዋ ዉስጥ በሚያደርገው እንቅስቃሴ በስፋት ሲሳተፍ ማየት፣ 

  • ሁሉም የማሀበሩ አባላት በካልጋሪ ከተማ የኤኮኖሚ እንቅስቃሴና የልማት ፕሮግራሞች ላይ ንቁ ተሳትፎ ሲኖራቸዉ ማየት፣

  • የማህበሩ አባላት እርስ በእርስ በመከባበር የተሻለ ህይወት ሲመሩ መመልከት፣

  • በካልጋሪ የሚኖሩ ኢትዮጵያውያንና ትዉልደ ኢትዮጵያዉያን ወጣቶችና ሕፃናት የተማሩ፣ ኃላፊነት የሚሰማቸው፣ ሕግ አክባሪ እና የተከበሩ የከተማው አባላት ሲሆኑ መገንዘብ፣

MISSION
ተልዕኮ

  • Facilitate the integration and resettlement of refugees and newcomers of Ethiopian origin into the Canadian society living in the City of Calgary and Surrounding areas.

  • Aims to contribute to the social, cultural and civic life of the Calgary City

  • Assist Ethiopians in preserving, sharing and transferring their tradition and cultural heritage to the people of Calgary 

  • Encourage the Ethiopian youth and children to be part of the community and the general public by providing language classes, arts and other educational programs.

  • Act as a liaison between members and government and private organizations.

  • Extending advocacy services which focus on critical needs in our community, particularly in education, job training and healthcare services. This will be achieved by establishing close partnership with government agencies and other private organizations.

  • ወደ ካልጋሪ ከተማ እና አካባቢው በፖለቲካ ጥገኝነት ወይም በኗሪነት የሚመጡትን ኢትዮጵያዉያኖች ወይም ትዉልደ ኢትዮጵያዉያን ከካልጋሪ ማህበረሰብ ጋር የጠበቀ ትስስር እንዲፈጥሩ መርዳት፣

  • በካልጋሪ ከተማ በሚደረጉ ማህበራዊና ባህላዊ ክንዋኔዎች አስተዋፅኦ ማበርከት፣

  • ኢትዮጵያውያኖች ባህላቸዉን፣ ታሪካቸዉንና ቋንቋቸዉን ለካልጋሪ ህዝብ ለማስተዋወቅ በሚያደርጉት ጥረት መርዳት፣

  • ትዉልደ ኢትዮጵያዊ የሆኑ ወጣቶች እና ልጆችን በቋንቋ ትምህርት, ስነ-ጥበብ እና ሌሎችንም የትምህርት ፕሮግራሞች በማሳተፍ በማኅበረሰቡ እና በአጠቃላይ ህብረተሰቡ ውስጥ ያላቸዉን አስተዋጽዎ እንዲያሳድጉ ማበረታታት፣

  • አባላትን ከመንግስት እና ካልጋሪ ዉስጥ ከሚኖሩ የግል ድርጅቶች ጋር ማገናኘት።

  • ለማህበረሰቡ በሚጠቅሙ ወሳኝ በሆኑ ነገሮች ላይ በተለይ በትምህርት፣ በስራ ስልጠና እና በጤና፣ ከመንግስት ኤጀንሲዎች እና ከሌሎች የግል ድርጅቶች ጋር የጠበቀ ግንኙነት በመመስረት፣ የማስተባበር ስራ መስራት።
